Vink Michael

Persoonlijke voorstelling:

My name is Michael Vink, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Christchurch, New Zealand. I was born on 22/Nov/1991, I'm 187cm tall and weigh 73kg. I have booth New Zealand and Nederlands passports as my father is a Nederlander.
I spent 6 months of 2011 living in Colorado, USA with the Trek-LIVESTRONG team. In 2010 I spent 6 months living in Belgium while riding for the Isorex team. I really enjoy living in Belgium because of the people that live there and the opportunities presented to bike riders. This is why I have decided to spend my 2012 season in Belgium with VL Technics - Abutriek.
In my spare time I like doing anything outside under the sunshine. My biggest hobby is music, but I enjoy a wide range of other things from fixing cars to red wine.

Sportieve voorstelling:

I have been cycling for about 5 years and I started with mountain biking. I'm an all round rider but am best at long races with lots of short climbs and also time trails of all distances. I have the ambition to one day become a professional and I think VL Technics - Abutriek will give me a very good opportunity to achieve my goal, so I am very excited about the 2012 season.
I am the current New Zealand U23 road race and time trial champion.
