Jory Chris

Persoonlijke voorstelling:

Hi I'm Chris Jory,
I live in Sydney, Australia for six months of the year and also Zottegem, Belgium for the other six months of the year. I see myself as an opportunist rider and enjoy short hills and the not so crazy bunch sprint. I'm 193cm tall and weigh 69kg (before waffles).
I have been cycling for 7 years. This is my second season with the VL-Technics Abutriek cycling team and Rudy Vandenheede. During the 2011 season I enjoyed a good level of success with the team which was due mostly from the coaching from Kristof de Kegel and also the high team morale. For the coming 2012 season I want to build apon this and achieve more for the team and myself.

Sportieve voorstelling:

When I'm in Australia I work part-time in a bike shop. Apart from cycling I enjoy laying on the beach and soaking up the sun, and surfing. I am an all round rider but specialise in short climbs and breakaways. With my training I am lucky that I have the opportunity to train in the warmth of summer during the off seaon, so remember when your riding in the winter with the snow and rain, I'm not.

These are my standout results from the 2011 season:
2nd Grafton to Inverell Cycle Classic
2nd Zottegem-Strijpen, Belgium
2nd Horebeke, Belgium
3rd Goulburn to Sydney Classic
4th Overall Tour of Wellington NZ (UCI 2.2)
7th Stage 1 Triptyque des Monts et Chateaux (UCI 2.2)
8th Melbourne to Warnaambool Classic
8th Prix Gilbert Bousquet - Brest, France
13th Witte - Kruis Classic - Den Haag, NED
21st Fleche Ardennaise
26th Circuit Wallonie - Fleurus

Hopefully in the coming 2012 season I can improve on these results!
